Pontcysyllte Aqueduct and Canal.

The Pontcysyllte Aqueduct over the River Dee was built during the Industrial Revolution by Thomas Telford, opened in 1805, and was a major feat of civil engineering. It is 1007 feet long, and consists of a cast iron trough for the canal with towing path and is supported by nineteen arches.
