Fitzwilliam Museum.

The Fitzwilliam Museum owes its foundation to Richard, VII Viscount Fitzwilliam of Merrion who, in 1816, bequeathed to the University of Cambridge his works of art and library.

The museum houses collections of antiquities, manuscripts and printed books, paintings drawings and prints, applied arts, and coins and medals. Artists represented include John Constable, Thomas Gainsborough, William Hogarth, Joshua Reynolds and George Stubbs.
